Why You’re So Tired Even When You Haven’t Done Much

Rest doesn’t replenish you when you are spent from just existing.

The deepest fatigue can result from observing, worrying, waiting, and quietly holding things together. Emotional labor matters. Mental load matters. Living in a constant state of vigilance matters.

When your mind doesn’t get to rest, your body suffers.

That’s why sometimes rest doesn’t feel refreshing. Your body is at rest, but your mind is still “on.” Still watching. Still preparing. Still bracing.

Fatigue like this isn’t healed with sleep. It’s healed when pressure is released. When expectations ease. When you stop holding things that aren’t actually yours to hold.
